Guide for Authors

General Features of the Article

- The article submitted to the journal of Zagros Archaeological Research (ZAR) must be the result of the author's (or authors') research.

- The article must not have been published in another journal and must not be sent to another journal until the review is completed.

- The publication of the article is subject to the final approval of the editorial board of the magazine.

- Acceptance of the article for publication will be made known to the author after the approval of the jury.

- The author (or authors) is responsible for the contents of the article.

- The magazine is free in literary and technical editing of the article without changing its content.

- The article should not exceed 20 standard pages of the journal.

- Author's full name, academic rank, university where teaching or studying, field of study, email address, orchid code and author's phone number should be attached on a separate page.

It is possible to submit an article only through the Zagros Archeology Research Journal system at the address "https://zar.lu.ac.ir" (for this, you must first register in the system through the "login to the system" option.

- The titles of the tables should be mentioned with the number above, and the pictures, maps, plans, and diagrams should be given with the number (description and source) mentioned below.

Components of the article

- Title: the general name of the article that is descriptive and expresses the content of the article.

- Author's profile: including the author's name and surname, academic rank, orchid code, field of study, university where he/she teach and study.

- Abstract: a comprehensive description of the article with limited words, including the statement of the problem, purpose, research method, and research findings. It should be noted that the abstract of the article should be between 200 and 250 words (around 12 lines).

- Key words: It includes three to five specialized words whose frequency and importance in the text of the article are more than other words. - Introduction: It includes the main problem and the purpose of the research; In this section, research records on the subject should be presented briefly.

- Review method: It includes a very brief mention of the author's research method and a mention of his innovations in this field.

- Discussion and conclusion and thanks: It includes the main text of the article and discussion and conclusion with a logical, useful, and enlightening method of the research issue, and can be accompanied by tables, pictures, diagrams, etc. At the end of this section, the author can remind the guidance of others who have been effective in writing the article and briefly thank them.

- Footnote: If there are necessary explanations, they will come after the result.

- The article must be written on A4 paper, with B-Nazanin font and size 13, 1.1 line spacing (single), and in Word format. Also, the distance from the top and bottom of the screen should be 3.35 cm, and from the right and left, 3 cm each.

- Abstract, keywords, sources, references in parentheses, poems, and any material that comes in parentheses should be written in 11 size.

- At the beginning of each paragraph, start with half a centimeter indentation; Of course, the first line under each title should not be indented.

- Direct quotations of more than three lines should be written separately from the main text and with one centimeter indentation on each side, and with the same font but with size 11.

- The sections of the article begin with section 1, which is dedicated to the introduction. The title of each main section and sub-sections should be written with a white line separated from the text and in black (bold).

- The number of footnotes from the beginning to the end of the article should be consecutive and avoid excessive footnotes.

- If the author or authors have used the financial resources of certain organizations or institutions in the preparation of the article, this should be mentioned in the footnote.

 

Required files to upload: Authors must submit the following five essential files through the manuscript submission system: 1. Main Manuscript File (without the author details and prepared based on the provided template. 2. Title Page, 3. Authorship Form (must include the article title, full names of all authors, and be signed by all authors), 4. Conflicts of Interest Form (must be signed by the Corresponding Author and uploaded with the Main Manuscript File), and 5. Cover Letter (Please include any necessary information in the cover letter).
